Licensing
Licensing Patents
Patent licensing generally involves either seeking compensation for the existing use of patented technology or finding qualified companies to develop and commercialize new products based on the patented innovation.
PraxisIP focuses on proactive licensing that connects patent owners with businesses capable of bringing their technologies to market.
Our primary licensing activities involve medical technology, biotechnology, agriculture, and defense. We also evaluate licensing opportunities across other industries when appropriate.
Our licensing process follows four phases:
Licensing engagements are often long-term projects and may continue for more than two years.
PraxisIP generally works on a success-fee basis. We therefore accept projects selectively, focusing on well-qualified patented innovations that offer meaningful commercial advantages and a strong likelihood of successful licensing.
